Hutton basin sound

Under bridge at Baffle Creek, Carnarvon Road. 

Road cuts along the Carnarvon highway reveal layers of the Artesian Basin. Seeing the geology exposed has allievated some of the physical imagery of rock layers for me. Yet there is an obvious absence of water,  the sound and movement of water. I wonder about these connections to various layers. Rock surface photographs by Brian Smeardon.
